Edie Rae’s Cafe

It’s taken me a while to put up a review of Edie Rae’s although I’ve eaten there 3 or 4 times since they opened. I go for the bacon, eggs, potatoes breakfasts and my impression is that the portions are rather small and lacking in deliciousness. It’s all just ok. The one stunning item is the homemade jam, so maybe I’d be happier with a stack of toast and coffee. My companion prefers lighter food in the morning and she says the yogurt with fruit is wonderful. The most striking thing about Edie Rae’s is the decor and friendly staff. The cut glass, teapots, and silver pieces are so pretty against the warm blue walls. It’s the kind of place your mom would appreciate.  Edie Rae’s Cafe…not terrific, but not bad either.
